Throttle body issues

Hello all. I've searched all over the internet and see that the throttle body issues with the Patriot seem to be pretty common. I've also seen that there are two different electrical connector configurations on the throttle body. Mine had the 6 pins in a row. I was able to track one down at the dealership. All the auto part stores had ones with every other pin offset and it didn't match up with mine. I replaced the throttle body with the one I bought from the dealership. Now it's throwing all kinds of codes instead of the original code that led me to change it in the first place. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You might not be alone. Apparently there's a problem with the OEM throttle body, and it's supposedly being re-designed.

For anyone still following the drama...

Local dealer found me the same one I have now. Just pulled mine to swap it out later today (work nights, need sleep).

I asked if this new one restarts the 2-year warranty since they are "redesigning" the throttle body. I was told, "warranty starts at original purchase". Soo...this will buy me time...

1. I have until November for the new updated one to come out.

2. I am f-cked if it doesn't come out before November and then have to dole out another $420.

So...they know there is a problem since they are "redesigning" it and are giving me an exchange for a part they know is going to fail.

I was assuming there was a change made. The auto parts store and the dealer have the "new" style. The dealership just happened to have 2 of the style I needed to fit my electrical connector. The parts store and the parts department at the dealership were unable to find a new pig tail to wire into the harness to permit me to use the new style.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I have 2010 with the two rows of offset pins which I understand is the "old" connector (no longer supported by OEM), and the "new" style is the single row.
Where I am, the aftermarket parts stores have the "old" connector and the dealers only have the single row, but they'll supply a single row pigtail to splice in if available.

In the other thread I posted the OP was having issues with the OEM "new" style throttle bodies, they seem to fail one after the other. They've been dealing with it for awhile now. Here's their original thread:

There was also an issue with the part numbers being confusing to the point of the wrong one getting ordered:

Thanks for the info. Apparently my 2016 has the new style and I just put a new one in on Friday. It worked fine for a day or two. Then it started throwing 5 different codes. It seemed to run fine. I erased the codes. Then I disconnected the battery for about an hour around dinner time. Connected it again and did the relearn procedure I had read about on here. Took it for a 7 or 8 mile ride and all went well. I'll see what tomorrow brings... 🤷‍♂️
