I have reason to believe that the jeep dealership who did my recall repairs did not update the PCM even though the sticker says authorized PCM flash completed in 2023 along with the catalytic converter replacement. They are very shady and refuse to provide any details.

There are 4 sensors that still show “not ready” for smog check I took it in and they said it’ll be $600 for them to set the sensors themselves by doing the drive cycles and that it needs a PCM update as well. However their hasn’t been a new update since 2019 so the PCM version should be current already since I took it in Summer of 2023.

anybody able to verify my PCM’s version number ?

You'd need a scan tool that can access that info, or something like alfaobd, appcar, jscan.

Drive cycles are at the link below if you want to try them:

Since it's recall repairs through a dealer, try reaching out to member @JeepCares and see if there's anything they can do to help.

I’ll be posting updates regarding this matter for anybody else that mite be having this problem. I just messaged @JeepCares on twitter

The calibration ID (CALID) or software version should be 11-U6-71-83 1.20 if the PCM flash was preformed successfully, working on checking the actual version number now.

The OBDII Monitors that show Not Ready are:

Fuel System
Evaporative System
Catalyst
Oxygen Sensor

I have attempted drive cycles recently with zero results I will be attempting more soon. I even reset all the monitors with OBDII tool, completed another drive cycle and it still shows that the same 4 sensors are showing “Not Ready” status.

It feels like I caught them in a lie, it seems like they purposely didn’t update the software knowing that I’ll eventually not pass smog and return to them for help is anybody able to verify my PCM’s version number ?

The VIN number is:

I had a lot of trouble getting the O2 sensor monitor set as well. It took about an 18 mile trip on a rural 40mph road with a few stops lights on it to get it set. Some of those lights were a little far apart so I did have to pull off on the shoulder twice to idle for the procedures specified time. But it did finally set. Good luck!

You won't get codes unless and until the monitors set or fail. Keep driving and try to get the monitors completed. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that no codes return.

That's crazy. Have you tried doing the full ecm discharge? Disconnect both battery cables and then zip tie them together to completely discharge any residual power in capacitors and such. Leave them like this for at least ten minutes. This is like a full reboot of the whole car and every module in the car. See if that fresh reboot flips a bad bit value somewhere.
