Actually happened on Saturday... but I drained my CVT and replaced the filter and fluid. EASY DIY job, I don't know why I was so intimidated by it. It was just time consuming having to torque all of those bolts down. Would have been done around 1 in the afternoon, but the dipstick I ordered didn't arrive until about 7pm so I couldn't check my levels.
Turned out that it was good I didn't follow the directions and add 7L of fluid - 6 quarts had me at the "max fill" level with the trans temp at 170 (used Torque to get the actual trans temp).

I changed my plugs, which were a bit overdue (40,000 miles instead of 30,000 miles). I have no idea why anyone with a Patriot would pay to have this done at a shop. I cost me $9 and 15 minutes of my time. This makes up for the fact that I am terrified to touch anything on my wife's Renegade - it's one big wiring harness!

And, even though they were overdue, only slight discoloration to the plugs and no carbon buildup at all. I run synthetic blend and change the oil between 6,000 - 6,500 (I don't wait for the computer to tell me when to go).

fabricated a custom radio bezel fit for aftermarket double din

how-to thread here

That looks pretty nice. I keep thinking about pulling all of the silver trim in mine and painting it a flat black. All that silver gets bright when the sun shines on it.

It is really easy on the MK and pretty straight forward. I wish my JKU was as easy as the Patriot.

Got some CVT fluid ordered yesterday. Penzelton or some such brand. The guy at the shop looked up the Patriot and that was the brand that came up, so he insisted on ordering that instead of Valvoline CVT+4. Comes by the liter, haha.

2nd oil change since I purchased the pat back in February. Autozone ran a special on Mobil 1 for 31 bucks which included a Bosch plus filter. I usually use a synthetic blend but for the price I couldn't pass it up. Maybe I'll make the switch if I notice any real improvements over the synth blend compared to full synth. Time will tell.

Haven't done anything yet to my patriot today, but the plan is to remove both front spindles so when my bearings show up their out and ready for pressing.

Saturday we had the 4rth MK in our area join the lifted club. Jlutz and myself helped install my old RRO lift into Baconriot88's 2013. We even did our own alignment. Which went very well, Baconriot let go of the steering wheel at 100km/h and it continued straight on the highway.

I think that install went very well. We did it in about the same amount of time it took to do mine but that's including the alignment and I didn't do that myself. His traction control light is on now but we're going to plug the code reader in tonight and check it out. I think an abs sensor wire may have got tugged when we took everything apart.

His jeep makes mine look so small now lol. Call it motivation to get bigger tires on because I have to park beside him in the driveway every day!

You want some 29.6" 19" wheels and tires :pepper: I think i'm finally going to part with them.

When can we do the "proper" motor mount on my jeep
