Hi everyone— about 6 weeks ago I bought a 2015 equipped with nav. 2 weeks ago the ability to touch the soft keys on the touch screen stopped and now I can’t access navigation/display settings etc. The unit turns on and I can use the hard buttons on the sides to toggle between phone/radio/aux, but can’t do anything within the system that requires touching the screen. Does anyone have any info on what I can do? My patriot is still under warranty, but the dealership is about 90 mins away and I’m really trying to avoid the hassle if possible. Thanks a lot.

From what I've read, disconnecting the battery and letting it sit, or disconnecting both battery cables then touching them together to drain off any charge sometimes works. But if it keeps coming back usually the touchscreen or radio has to be replaced. Not just a Patriot problem, happens on Wranglers, Pacificas, etc.:(

Update—
Just reconnected the battery after it being disconnected for 9ish hours and still nothing. The unit turns on but I cannot access navigation/settings or anything else that requires me to touch the screen.

Thanks a lot. I am calling the dealership tomorrow to schedule bringing it up there. I will let you know when I do so!

Confirmed an appointment with the dealership for this morning for them to figure out what’s wrong with my Uconnect. Drove almost 90 mins just for the service manager to tell me that their electrician techs aren’t there on the weekends and that id have to come back later in the week. Conveniently the woman who confirmed me bring the Patriot up this morning wasn’t available to take the blame. I’m beyond irritated right now. ?
