Anyone have the following service manual in CD form. I'd love a copy but can't get myself to spend $200. If you can burn me a copy, I'd be happy to send you some cash. We can work out details off line.

2010 jeep patriot service manual

I'm also looking for a 2010 patriot service manual. I have the 2.4 5speed and I'm told that after 50k miles I should change the fluid. So i figure since the gf has class all day Saturday I'm gonna change the oil and possibly the trang fluid. If anybody has done the fluid change any hints or tips would be helpful. Thanks guys

from the 2010 MK Service Manual-

21 - Transmission and Transfer Case/Manual, T355/FLUID/Standard Procedure
STANDARD PROCEDURE - FLUID DRAIN AND FILL

NOTE: All T355 Manual Transaxles require the use of ATF+4 (Automatic Transmission Fluid).

The transaxle fill plug (1) is located on the left side of the transaxle differential area. The fluid level should be within 3/16 inch from the bottom of the transaxle fill hole (vehicle must be level when checking).

The transaxle drain plug (2) is located on the lower right side of the transaxle differential housing. Tighten drain plug to 14 N·m (120 in. lbs.).

Had a similar problem which I sloved by running a virtual machine for windows XP with IE 6, it was the only way I could get it to work, crappy coding behind the manual really is, wil not work in chrome or above IE8 from what I've noticed on my personal windows 7 machine, and it's heavily modded so it can run almost anything, even has a virtualized Mac on it for those as we'll

Elgreco,

I would be interested if you could make me a copy of a service manual for a 2009 Jeep Patriot. Otherwise I am currently seeking information about rebuliding the manual transmission. You can PM me the details, I don't mind paying for shipping and the cost of the CD/DVD. Let me know, thanks!

Yea, the virtual machine is the best way to go. I also run an Oracle VM Virtualbox, Windows XP virtual machine with IE6. I was playing with the a few ideas to make it more accessible for our members. One was to try and make a compact VM appliance, but I can't get it under 2gb. The other was trying to replace the index javascript used for the table of contents panel. The real problem is that it uses frames (and some IE only frames/javascript stuff) and those are pretty much abandoned by browsers. I wish I was a better HTML programmer...

I wanted to provide another option to this, as I couldn't get IE Tab to work for me. I feel like it worked for me in August, but I can't get it to work today.

Anyway, if you have Internet Explorer 11, and probably some previous versions, it has a way to emulate previous versions of IE. I'll try some instructions just for another option if IE Tab isn't working.

1. Open the page in IE.
2. Hit the F12 button, or go to the gear button in the top-right, then click "F12 Developer Tools."
3. The developer interface should display. I think it defaults to the bottom, but I think it can be in different positions.
4. Click on the Emulation tab.
5. Under Mode, change the Document mode option to 8 or 7 (7 seemed to work better for me). You may or may not notice a difference in the screen after it changes, but this is when it started working for me.
