Hey guys, i’ve been driving my 2012 Patriot in limp mode for a month now, need help, hard to make left turns when i only can do 0-20mph in 13 seconds. my foot is tired of pressing the gas pedal down all the way all day
—256k miles
— 2.4l sport - front wheel drive

Symptoms:
  • Limp Mode
  • Engine light
  • Traction Control light (not sure what this is called but it looks just like it and is next to my “traction control OFF” light) (starts 7 seconds after starting)
  • NO ESP / ABS light

Codes:
  • P2017 Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor/Switch Circuit High (Bank 1)
  • P0340 Camshaft Position Sensor ‘A’ Circuit (Bank 1 or Single Sensor)
Secondary DTC
  • P0038 HO2 Heater Control Circuit High (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
  • P0138 O2 Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank 1 Sensor 2)

Recently replaced/Tried
  • Fuel Filter
  • Camshaft sensor (replaced before this happened)
  • Crankshaft sensor
  • Air Filter
  • Throttle Body (and every reset possible, 10/15 sec ignition reset, w/wout gas pedal, battery reset, draining capacitors w contact leads held together)

Other:
- I read about it being the wheel speed sensors but i don’t get codes for wheel speed sensors so i don’t want to change them.
-Airbag light comes on randomly but it’s been doing this for a long while before. Only way i see it related is if the traction control light IS a steering angle sensor light, in which case i need a new steer. ang. sensor

Is it possible for it to be a simple wheel speed sensor without getting codes for it?

sorry if this is in the wrong thread, i can repost if so. thank you

SOLVED!!!! Helped IsaacHimself with this project. There were three things that we did to get it running. The ultra slow response was due to two things. First the gasket on the air intake was letting in way too much extra air, replaced $7 part. And after that, we read a code, C121C (Torque request signal denied). We tried replacing the wheel speed sensors all the way around, but code still came back. Turns out that it was a faulty camshaft sensors. Replaced both. On the driver side of engine, both front and rear have one. 10mm socket. Code cleared, and didn't come back.
