I don't think that that small of a size bump will cause any stress to the CVT. Many people with the CVT run larger tires and none (that I know of) have mentioned CVT issues.

 

I asked my dealer if running 225/75/16s would void my lifetime warranty and she said it wouldn't. Logically I suppose it's a wash: it will have to rev a little higher to get you moving, but it will run at lower RPMs at speed.

Difference in the speedometer/odometer reading is marginal. If you get a speeding ticket, you deserved it anyway. 👮‍♂️

 

@Patriot_69 , size-wise it won't be issue for the transmission, it's only a little taller than the largest stock tire.
