4wd! Light

I have had the following lights come up, at first 4WD! Then soon after ABS, traction control lights. I have just changed the oil in the rear differential just in case it was that. I have also renewed the earth connections in the engine bay.
I don't always get these lights up only now and again. I have check the OBD2 for codes and it hasn't got any.
Any ideas anyone, could it be a sensor?

...could it be a sensor?
Possibly, though sensors usually show codes. It could also be a wheel hub / bearing.
Some have had issues with the clips for the rear wheel sensors rusting off and allowing the sensor to move out of proper position.

You might try a different scan tool since some models don't read ABS codes.

I had the same issue fixed about 1 month ago. The problem started in early December and I wasn't able to get if fixed until the new year due to shop availability and holiday scheduling.
That being said, about 2 weeks after the issue began, my patriot would randomly slam on the brakes while in traffic and refuse to move for several minutes. Super dangerous. Brilliant design. If that happens, you can remove the fuse for the ABS pump. (just google "patriot fuse box" for a diagram)
The true fix for me was replacing both rear wheel speed sensors and wheel bearings. With wheel alignment and labor cost, it came to about $780 CDN (The vast majority being bearing cost and labor).
Access to ABS plug is through your trunk. Clean that out for them and avoid additional charges.
Put the fuse back in.

I didn't mention this before because the wiring might not be the same on UK models, but some have had issues with wiring under the footrest on the left side that caused those lights to come on.

Thanks all. I think it could be a wheel bearing after me trying to pull out of my drive. When it drove straight the rear wheels were silent but when I turned left the right rear wheel made a really bad grating sound. Will try and take in to the garage.
Thanks all for your help and replies it has been most helpful.

When one of my rear bearings failed I got no codes or lights, it would just rumble driving straight, then bind and cause wheel hop / chirping on tight turns.
