There's no voltage going to the rear license plate lights. Any ideas as to why?

The problem is with the TIPM. If I remove the LEDs and disconnect the battery to reset the TIPM, there is 3.5V at the pins in the sockets. It may be that the new LEDs draw too much current. I've ordered a different brand of new ones. If the TIPM won't support those, I'll power them from one of the regular 12V circuits that comes on with the lights. Getting new OEM license plate LEDs is not easy.

Leds usually draw too little power and the TIPMs bulb out sensor doesn't see enough current and thinks the bulb burned out.

I did find the problem. There was corrosion inside the plastic socket that the LEDs plug into.

Just for reference, there are three wires that go to the tag lights, red, black, and white. When the lights are on, there should be 12V from red to black. The white wire is a closed circuit ground. The two LED packs are wired in series.
