Also, the fans are working, but only on a/c, is there a possibility that the fans/fan motors could be defective on medium or high settings

 

Did you just change one temp sensor or both?

 

I only replaced one, thanks so much for the tip, if this second one that I didn’t know about works, you get the prize!

I definitely did not find any other temp sensor, even though my 8th vin is B, I had the thermostat housing off and didn’t see what your diagrams show, I’ll look again. I did pull a relay while the car was running and when I pulled one of them the car killed, don’t know what that means...any thoughts

You may have pulled the main power relay.

 

Per the radiator fan operation chart above, if the fans are functioning when the AC is turned on, then high speed is working.

If possible, I would try checking the fan on/off conditions in the chart above against the engine temperature.
