Cool Story Time:
I live in a climate zone called Temperate Rain Forest.
As you can imagine it rains up here a lot, especially October thru March.
All our roads, ditches, infrastructure are designed to handle the rain.

But I had friends up from the US, two from N Carolina, one from California and another from Colorado... fly fishermen and women.

so, I load them into my XL7 and start the hour drive up to where we meet the guides on Campbell River, a World Heritage River and renowned world wide for its fly fishing of salmon. These folks are used to brook trout, browns, etc. What we call bait.

It starts to rain a little. And I mean a little. (for here) I'm booming along doing 100 kph and getting passed by logging trucks, highway trucks, some other cars...speed limit is 110 kph.

Spray, road is covered in rain, more spray, wipers are sort of keeping up...

I have never seen more worried and tense passengers than this crew...honestly they were freaking out. I knew it didn't rain much in California but NC? Colorado?

It was like they had never driven in rain before.

I found it amusing.

I grew up in surrey and moved to the edmonton area about a year ago and i actually kind of miss the rain. and the fishing here does not compare either, the salmon that my moms boyfriend would bring home were just massive lol

A dash cam should be everybody's next mod. Then we could have a thread called "Interesting Patriot Dash Cam Videos".

Notice I put the word "Interesting" in there... :zzz:

I've had mine for a couple of years and other than idiot lane changes, etc. the most interesting thing I have so far is a cow running down the highway.

I did catch a fender bender once and transferred the clip to a couple of thumb drives and gave one to the aggrieved party and one to the investigating cop and that was the last I heard of that...didn't get the thumb drives back either!

with more rain in the forecast I decided to slap on some new wipers.

i hit a goose once, feathers everywhere and it "honked" as it died. fairly entertaining
it got funnier when my sister who was a few minutes behind me texted me about this "poor goose" that was dead on the road
and another time i saw this little sparrow like bird fly across the road and got smoked by a car and it arced through the air and it looked like that angry birds game, wish i had a camera for both

I saw a lifted Compass at the gas station this morning. It definitely looked like a "real Jeep". It was a total black out with chrome trim accents. Needless to say, I was impressed.
