Why is it that the Canyon wheels don't fit but the Ravine wheels do...? They have the same specs and look the same except for the raised line on each spoke of the Ravines. Just curious for whoever tried the wheel and said it doesn't work. There's a set of 5 on my local craigslist.

I've never tried the Canyons personally, but the reason they don't fit is due to the way the spokes curve slightly inward toward the caliper as opposed to the spokes on the Ravines which curve out or away from the caliper.

Anyone tried these wheels? I think they are from a Liberty (not positive though). Seller says they are 16" and 5x4.5 lug pattern.
Those 16" aluminum rims "fit" however on the front they will rub on the brake caliber, wheel spacers would fix the problem, however without any work, they will not fit.

Thanks. I found them on Craigslist about 2 hours from me and thought I should check before I made the drive to find out that they dont. I knew I read that the 5 spoke Liberty wheels would rub but wasn't sure about these 6 spoke ones. Thanks again for the quick response!

Need a little help I bummed the curd and scratched the check out of one rim. I have a 2013 4X4 Freedom Edition Patriot. Where can I find either the number of the gray wheel, or a website that selles them I have been looking for three days now. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the link.......

Since she's still basically a new girl we decided to keep things pretty much stock for now until we log a year or 2 worth of miles on her factory Good Years. I did order and install a cheap set of 16" wheel skins that look just like the factory steelies but in the chrome look which made her look much better and not so plain.

Thanks again for your help.

RIM size confirmation

Hello All,

I have a 2010 Jeep Patriot North, Trail Rated edition. I have the opportunity to get this set of Jeep rims for next to nothing (I like them a lot better than the stock Patriot ones).

Rubber aside, would they fit? They are from a 1998 Jeep TJ.
They are 16" rather than the TR 17"s I have now.

I've been planning my build based on this:
http://expeditionportal.com/the-little-overlander-expo-s-long-term-patriot-project/
and this:
http://www.carscoops.com/2006/10/2006-sema-show-jeep-patriot.html
and this:
http://www.trucktrend.com/events/163-1008-easter-jeep-safari-2010-mopar-to-moab/

All of which refer to using 16" tire/rim combination.
"In stock trim, the limiting factor on the Patriot is ground clearance, so they added a little lift (two-inch Rocky Road Outfitters kit), and larger, P225/75R16 BFG KM2 Mud Terrain tires on 16-inch TJ wheels."

Will 17x7 wheels fit?

Hello,

I have a set of winter tires that I want to get separate wheels for.

I was looking at steel ones from eBay called:

Multi application Steel rim - 17x7 - 5x114.3 (X99715N)

Sorry, I can't post the link because I'm a newbie

It is 17 x 7 5x114.3 but it says it is not compatible with the 2008 Jeep Pat which I have

My tires are 215 65 17

Will the 17x7 wheels fit on the Pat?

Thanks:notworthy:

Ford Ranger wheels

Hi,
I wonder if one of you has already tried a ford ranger or Mazda B wheel on a Patriot or Compass?

The OEM wheels is Alu 16x7 5x114.3mm 12mm offset.
#3610, 3755, 3667

Painted black:

Or Alu Alcoa 3464 15x7 5x114.3mm 12mm offset.

I know that the center bore is 70.3mm but we can fit a adaptor ring 67.1mm to 70.3mm.

These wheels with 12mm offset are interesting in order to have larger tire by sticking out further about 1.25". There is some used set for 100-150$ on Kijiji.

I tested the Mazda B4000 64809 15x7 12mm Offset 4.5" backspacing 21 lbs wheel. It dosn't clear the front caliper. The inner size of the wheel decreases behide de spoke. It's not interfering with the spoke itself. I will mesure the minimum spacer required later but I tested it with my 1" spacer...oh well it's too much!
First pic without spacer.

Edit
The minimum spacer required to clear the caliper is 10mm . But as you can see in the last picture, a paper sheet barely fit between and the lug nuts screw in only by 6 threads. So imo, you can run with the 15x7" 12mm offset wheel but with 15mm spacer and longer stud or adapter type with integrated studs to be safe. With this setup you will have offset equivalent to -3mm.

Sorry to beat a dead horse but I'm finding some conflicting info regarding wheel sizing, but I am pretty new to this so I may just be confused:/......any help is appreciated:)
Looking at 15x8 3.75 backspacing and -19 offset with 235/75/15 on a 2015 Pat FDI no lift. I assume I will at least need to do pinch weld mod.

Adding to the info here

Thought I would gather all the 15" rim info I found together to make it easier for those who are interested in fitting their MK's with 15" rims and tires. If anyone knows of anything that should be here but isn't, let me know and I'll add it in.

A comment on caliper clearance:
Even when the 15" rims fit, clearance between front calipers and the rim can be very close. This may be more of a concern for steel rims as they can bend.

* 15" Rims That Fit *

Ravine alloy 15x8

These rims are lighter than stock 17" rims (18 vs 22 lbs), which can help offset the weight of larger tires.

There are at least 4 members who used this rim with various tires.

JeepinLG - 30x9.5? with no mods to calipers reported, trimmed pinch weld cover in wheel well.

Bwaak - 235-70-15 - No mods or rubbing reported.

Sandstone - 30x9.5 GSA with slight rubbing, 235/75/15 Duratrac with no rubbing or mods.

Ramiroum - 275/60/15 No mods or rubbing reported.

Jeep "Turbine" alloy rims

Only one member has these. They are older rims from late 1970's / early 1980's vehicles.

Wolf - 235/75/15 - No mods reported

Flat Five - Steel

Some fit, but others don't. May need spacers or caliper mods.

ChuckTerry - 235-75-15 - No mods reported

koolkatken83 - 235/75/15 Caliper Mods(grinding) needed

Rims that won't fit without mods (spacers, etc)

Jeep Canyon

5 Star Cherokee

I know this is an old thread, but people are still modding Patriots (maybe moreso now as they get cheaper?) so I want add the following:

TJ Sahara Alcoa wheels and they don't fit without a spacer to get the rim off the caliper.

Cherokee 10-spoke Aluminum rims won't fit because the spokes of these won't clear the calipers either.

Sorry no URLs for pics, I don't have enough posts to link to them. Cheers!

Again, I know this is an old thread but I have just tested two more wheels so I want to add that info from my testing to try and complete the knowledge base here.

Old 15" steel base model Comanche MJ, Wrangler YJ and Cherokee XJ rims do not fit. Maybe with spacers. These are the ones with 9 small rectangular holes around the outside.

I then tested the base model 15" steel late model Cherokee and TJ 5-spoke rims that others are using with success. Like everyone else, I found that they are super close to fitting and would need a tiny amount of grinding on the calipers to fit.

Cheers everyone!

This is my first time posting anything on here but I went through and reviewed past posts and read over everything that had been said and it helped me decide what I needed to do to get the look I wanted and just wanted to say thanks to all those who had shared what they had learned and had tried it made it a lot easier for me to know what I would have to do and figured I would share how the end result turned out but this is just the end for wheels and tires have more in store as far as other additions to come. I went with the rough county lift as well as 11/4” wheel adapter to put wrangler 16 inch wheel and 255/75/16 geolander and also did the pinch weld mod and though I still get a very very small amount of rub at full turn it’s so little that I am just going to live with it on this set of tires and make a small change ether with tire size later or possibly a little bigger adapter and stay with the same tire size but I am happy with the end results and have had a lot of people stop me and asked what all I done to get it to where it is and a large part of that is thanks to the knowledge and information I got from those of you on here and I again wanted to say thanks for sharing what you have tried and what worked and didn’t work for you guys

Hi all! I am able to get a great deal on a set of these ($100 for four)...will they fit my 2014 Patriot?

Link

Thanks!
I don't think anyone has posted that exact rim.

The bolt pattern matches, but it might rub on the front calipers.
