Hey guys! My 2015 Jeep Patriot North 2.4l is having issues with steering wheel not returning to the center. The steering wheel is somewhat loose, and when I turn the wheel it only partially returns to the centered position. Any ideas on what could be causing this? Thanks in advance

If there's slack in the steering wheel when you turn it (loose feeling / doesn't engage and start turning the front wheels right away), check the inner and outer tie rod ends for play.
You might check the ball joints too while you're there.

Maybe have the alignment checked too. Bad caster can cause lack of steering wheel return. Sadly the patriot doesn't really have and adjustable caster other than loosening the front subframe and trying to shift some.

Hi there. If this continues, we'd suggest a visit to your preferred Jeep dealership. If you need any support while there, Jeep Cares Canada can be reached via phone at 1-800-465-2001.
