I might dub this a new "Patriot Chicken Hawk"

Kinda like that new "Cherokar Trail Pigeon" that I see on the showroom floors.

When you say "Chicken Hawk" the only thing I can think of is those Foghorn Leghorn cartoons!
You mean the "Cherokar Trail Pigeon" that is about 100 times more offroad capable than the MK platform will ever be :p

I love all the hate the KL Cherokee's get :D My wifes non trailhawk is still better offroad than my compass

We actually took it for a little wheeling trip the other day, 4-Low helps a lot in the sand that's for sure

I fully agree! They may look ugly to some, but you can't argue the fact that they are definitely more capable offroad. Gotta love having some real power under the hood!

They don't have that much more power, it's just the low range and transfer case, as I understand it. What the low range rated for, 56:1? Compared to 19:1 on maybe 10% of all Patriots?

271hp and 239ft/lbs TQ runs 15.2 in the quarter mile for the V6..........they are decently quick for what they are.

V6 Trailhawks and Non Trailhawks are 48:1

4 Cylinder TH's are 56:1 and Non Trailhawks are 50:1

The 4 Cylinder ones are quite slow, but 4000lbs and not much more power than MK's that's to be expected.

Mike, I"m sure its covered under warranty............but having it smashed up while offroading.............well if the dealer covers it for you all the power to you.

Man I dunno I've gone with a KL off-roading like 5 times, he got stuck everytime and did the exact same **** as me, unless he's a really bad driver

Hi,
I'm about to put new wheels, tires, and a lift kit on my Jeep Patriot 2014 Sport. I was on the Newbie forum and got some great help for deciding what to get. I'm getting the lift kit from Rocky Road Outfitters. The wheels are 15x8 Pro Comp Wheels 7031-5865 Xtreme Alloys Series 7031 Black Finish. The tires are 30x9.5R15LT.
My question is as anyone else done something similar to there? And have you had any problems with your Jeep since modifying it?
Thanks :)

Those 15" wheels have not been tested to work with our vehicles. There is a chance they may not work. 30" tires can be done but they will be quite heavy. Make a post in the tire and wheel section and we can discuss it there.

Left mine in a parking lot in Grand Rapids all day, then drove it home. Washed it, touched up the blue scratch on the back door(still don't know who did that, but whatever), and am now relaxing a bit.

Sad news though(combined with a potential tongue twister): something muted my magnificent music. Yes I just put it that way. Translation, the Dixie horn worked on Friday evening, but has not played even a single note since then. Power's getting through the relay(I can hear it clicking when I try to set it off), but the little compressor just isn't winding up for some reason. I'm hoping it's not rusted or worn-out. Need to take a closer look-see when I get a chance.
