I have a 2012 patriot and my stereo stays on when I shut off the engine. I am unable to turn it off manually nor will any other buttons work. Could this be a relay problem? If so where do I find it? Please help.

If the power switch on the radio won't turn the radio off, and none of the other buttons on the radio are functional either, I'd say it's time for a new radio.
The radio, like everything else these days is a computer, so it's possible a reboot may straighten it out. Long shot but worth a try. Disconnect both battery cable ends and touch the two together for ten minutes or so to discharge all systems, then reconnect them to see if it returns to normal.
The electronics are designed so the radio stays on for 10-30 seconds or so after shutting the engine off, or until you open the door, whichever comes first. Post-2000 GM models are the same way. Is yours staying on beyond just this?
