Today I got a call from my girlfriend while I was at work. she turned into a parked truck while backing up! Luckily she is ok, but she creased the door. hopefully this won't be too expensive to fix!?!

Ouch. I almost damaged my door today, but that would have been a tree at the off-road park. Got through with little if any damage though. Sorry to hear about yours.

Depending on the level of damage and where it is located, a PDR tech can many times fix it like new if the paint is not broken.

I had a small door dent on the edge of my passenger side door from sitting on the lot too long before I bought mine and I had a PDR guy remove it. It's amazing what these guys can do.

Before you go to a body shop that will try to convince you that you need a new panel and a multi panel paint blend that never matches from my experience, check to see if a PDR tech in your area can fix it.

I have seen damage similar to that (and even worse) posted online that was removed by PDR.

Today I got a quote for the damage, $1,700ish. that seems so high to me....does it look like I really need a new door? I was hoping the dents could just be pulled.

PDR tech might be able to get it looking better but would probably need to replace the whole panel to make it look like new. As soon as you start bending and creasing metal the paint likes to chip and flake off. A little mud and dirt should cover it up nicely...
must have gotten a stick jammed into the side, couldn't open the door until I took a crobar to the inside of the panel...Almost $300 for a new fender as the shipping is ~$100, might see if a PDR place can make it a little less visible some day.
