Hey everyone my name is Brad and I'm new to the forum and I am having and issue with my 2014 jeep patriot latitude with the 2.4L... my mom was driving the car on a well maintained road and it just shut off on her... it will crank but not start... it will run on starting fluid but once u take that away it dies agian...thought maybe it was the fuel pump since my scanner was giving me injector open circuit codes for all 4 injectors... replaced fuel pump and still no change... then I looked into the auto shutdown relay and with the key on I have power to all 3 fuses in the engine compartment fuse block as well as the relay itself.... If someone could please lead me in the right direction to fixing this before I shove a road flare in the fuel tank that would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance

A couple of suggestions:

If you've checked fuse 26 (it supplies power to the injectors) and it's good and has power to it, then check to see if power getting to the connectors of the injectors. If there's no power to the injectors, check connector C10, pin 5 on the TIPM for corrosion and make sure the connector is well seated.

Also check the connectors on the PCM to make sure they aren't loose.

Sounds like the relay is working.

The diagrams below are from an older manual.
(The wiring diagrams from the 2014 service manual are here: Wiring Diagrams)

Fuse 33 supplies power to the relay coil.
Fuse 18 supplies power that is sent through the relay to fuse 26 which powers the injectors.

Have you changed the plugs, made sure they were properly gapped, etc.? If not a plug, could be maybe one of the long electrical gizmos that are wired in above them.

Ok so switching the crank sensor back to the old one didn't change anything.... I used a fuel pressure Guage and have 60psi of fuel coming into the fuel rail... test all plugs and coils and they tested out fine... the only thing that puzzles me is when I undo the fuel supply line from the fuel rail there is not a lot of fuel that comes out its mostly air any ideas?
