Hi, hope someone can help me.
2.0 turbo CRD 2007 , Merc Engine.
Was driving, turned the car off, it never started again!
Replaced battery, then a scan said it was the ignition module connected to the ignition barrel, so replaced that.
Needed to recode the module to the key but the scan kept saying MIS MATCH and was coming up with two different VIN numbers, so we replaced the VINS so they matched, again MIS MATCH. The key coding guy suggested it might need a new ECU pack where you get a key and a new module, £160, I dont want to keep replacing parts until it works. Its in my drive and dead so any help would be great.
All lights come on in the dash but nothing from the ignition, no turn over.
Also anyone can explain the battery draining issue that I understand is a common fault.
