I was just wondering what I should do to upgrade my Jeep to make it more trail worthy its stock minus soft mods I'm a 17 year old wanting to go offroading

I have a 2014 Jeep Patriot 2.4l i4 FDI with 6 spd CVT (I think it's a CVT) with 4x4 and a tire size of 215/60R17 and a CB don't know what model or make. If you have any suggestions please tell me as I get a job here soon so I can afford upgrades. thinking about putting a 1.5l turbo in and a torque tune done and putting 225/60R17 on with a 1 or 2" suspension lift.

Welcome! Friendly suggestion: If you look around this site you will discover that the CVT is a weak point -- not so much the tranny itself, but the inadequate maintenance schedule in the owners manual. Tranny fluid and both filters should be changed TWICE as often as the owners manual recommends, i.e., at least every 50,000 miles. Not all 2014s had the CVT so maybe you have the AT-6.

Have fun out there, and keep the rubber side down and the shiny side up!
