If you have the FDII trail rated model, it has lower off road gearing and will have higher RPM at speed than the other models do.

If it's the FDII the shifter bezel says "L Off Road".

It's ok, the RPM will be higher, no problem. Mine is also the FDII off road and it does the same thing.

Just make sure you keep up on transmission fluid and filter(s) changes, should be every 30-50k miles or 50-80km depending on driving conditions.

You're welcome!

As long as there's no whining sound, overheat, jerking, codes, etc. then you are good.

Also the off road model comes with a bigger transmission cooler, nearly the same size as the radiator which can help a lot.

 

Yeah, the FDII models run at higher revs and use more fuel than the other models... what yours is doing is normal.
