Is that a ball mount for a winch or is the winch behind the rollers?

Somebody will be happy to be the test mule...hope it is one of our group!

 

That's a shackle mount. It replaces the standard hook. The winch s behind the bumper.

And I doubt they'd do anything before confirming that they could do it. Cause if they just started hackin away at stuff they would have to replace the bumper if it doesnt work out. I'm sure they'd need it for a good while just to get the dimensions and schematics of the winch and stuff done before they cut a damn thing.

 

They have one already for the compass... I'm sure that it will be 90% sure it fits on the patriot and how to get it to fit through the bumper, maybe a spacer or two.

looks like $754 for steel cable or $1000 for synthetic with all mounting plates and stuff (w/out install or shipping)

Yeah last time I was there he came out and asked to look at my front bumper & popped the hood. Was hmming and hawing about how he could squeeze something in the tight space just below the radiator.
Sounds like they've already hooked up w/someone. Imma wait & see what their final product looks like. If I like it I'll just buy it. (not worth a fight w/the awnry wife on driving me there & back for 2hrs and being down a car for a week or so)

 

man I hope they come out with something awesome. Sliders are my next purchase, but a winch would make me way more daring out on the trails.

 

Damn that looks good. For that kind of money I'd rather have a fully custom front bumper but meh beggers can't be choosers.

 

As the Guinea pig it sure looks great on the patriot sure wont disappoint I love it so far
