Any idea how to fix this?

If a new actuator didn't fix it, may be a problem with the HVAC module itself.

If so, it will have to be replaced, AFAIK they're not repairable.

 

Thank you for the response. I was thinking the same thing based off of reading similar posts. Seems to be a common issue with these patriots. It’s more annoying than anything hearing the clicking. Thanks again for the welcome message.

 

Just an FYI, I think you are referring to the recirculation door. The cabin air filter sits stationary beneath that behind a plastic access panel.

 

Yes that is exactly what I’m talking about Todd. If you take the cabin filter out you can see the door opening and when fully opened it continues to try to open more
