Any help would be appreciated. I am helping out a friends father with a 2008 jeep patriot ( 2.0l). He has a p0501, p0507 and p0722. I was wondering if the p0501 vehicle speed speed sensor code would also trip the p0722 output shaft code? Would these issues be related. I am not sure if transmission compares output shaft speed to vehicle speed. It should be noted the speedometer does not work. One Jeep forum said the vehicle speed is derived off the output shaft sensor? If anyone could help I would appreciate it. I'm an Industrial power generation tech with little knowledge on Jeeps. I having a hard time finding sensor locations to check them with my scope .
