I feel like teasing everyone a little bit, since it's really a tease for me, so we're all in this together right?

Test fit the back rim today to check offset, etc. Couldn't ask for a cleaner fit for front and back. The offset is a PERFECT flush for my liking. I didn't tighten the wheel all the way on, because I didn't want to tear them up with the stock lugs. So some of them are slightly crooked, and in the front, I didn't have the steering wheel straight.

Curt class III is the one to go with, value that you can't live without.

The new rear coils and shocks went for a spin in the dirt yesterday and the results were very favorable.

Our hybrid suspension, old in the front, new in the back works very nicely.

Still amazed at how nimble these Patriots are in the dirt with 235s as opposed to the 215s. Makes we wonder if I'd be any happier with a 225?

Spoke with Jerrod at RRO this morning about the Stage 1 Brush bar. I have exactly 24" between my Hellas, so the question is about how wide the top plate is? It looks like a fit, albeit custom. This may be the last mod for the Patriot, though you never know..:p

theres tabs on the top of the bar, they'er about 9 inches apart iirc

Installed my Spare Bumper in my Curt hitch. Finally some rear end collision protection, and a great looking step. About $150 and totally worth it in my opinion.

Interesting bumper. Spring loaded?

I won't be going offroad any time soon, I took the Patriot to get its first detail ever. Hand wax, time to see how the clearcoat is holding up and see how new it can look. I prefer it dirty, but the paint is showing signs of age.

So this new 8-bay hand detail shop opened just down the street, and they drop you off at home so no waiting around. $70 !!!

I'll post up later.

I believe the bumper is just to take the impact of the collision rather than the bumper. I'd rather replace $150 impact bumper than the $800 bumper. Plus, you'd mess them up pretty bad!

I wish I could pay a shop to detail my jeep, I just don't have the money!

The Spare Bumper I installed was mainly put there for safety. It has rubber spring impact absorbers so if someone hit the back of my Jeep where my trailer hitch is, I would be a lot less likely to suffer from whiplash and vehicle damage. Since the hitch is attached to my frame and has no give, it would hurt to get hit there.

Also it looks nice as a step and intimidating to any tailgaters. If I parallel park somewhere I have some protection from careless drivers too.

Anyone with a 2" hitch should own one. SuperBumper.com and SpareBumper.com

I bought mine with the 1 1/4" shaft and bought adapters to fit 2" - means that I can move them to any hitch at any time. Also, the rubber outside impact absorbers are supplemented with a spring inside - which is a real bear to compress the first time.

Avoided a wreck in my Patriot today. The man on the phone wasn't looking where he was going and decided he wanted the Lane at the same time I did. He couldn't have been over 6 inches from plowing into me. All I can say is thanks to God for keeping me safe

Yesterday's detail. Shine on you crazy Diamond.

The day before I was checking the K&N drop-in, it was due, when I noticed the smaller breather hose to the intake had popped off. So I dropped in the OEM filter and went and gassed up to see what the MPGs did.
Turned out to be 17.5 or there abouts. I'm going to run the OEM for a few tanks and check it out.

Wife mentioned it turned 60k on Friday.

Shiny indeed! Maybe I should have the patriot detailed after the new rims go on, that looks beautiful.

Once every 60k or when you get new wheels.:D

I decided to put some small pieces of silver reflective tape on the front bumper to help other drivers see me slightly better.

Then I added some red pieces to my spare bumper.
