My drivers side nozzle broke where the line connects to it under the hood. Why? Nobody has been under the hood doing any work. It was fine one day...then the next, washer fluid only trickled out...thought maybe I was out of fluid, but upon investigation found the line connector was broke at the hood.

How do I get the broken one off? Can I get that part easily? Anybody else have this issue?

They should just snap in to the hood opening. You'll probably need to pull the hood insulation down to see it, but there should be a small tab that you press and pop them out. Was there a sudden cold snap or anything? If you were running a diluted washer fluid mix and the temp dipped, it could have frozen and cracked the fitting. Or it may have been cracked during assembly and vibration caused it to finally break. Seems odd though.

Mine broke too!

Not the one on the hood but the one beside the third brake light on the liftgate.

The washer nozzle broke on me yesterday for NO apparent reason. I don't know why or when it happened but I sure noticed when the fluid was dripping INSIDE the liftgate upon actionning the pump. I was like WTF ?! At first I thought the hose was disconnected (yeah right!) but upon inspection I only slightly touched the nozzle and it felt in my hand! The "tube" part where the hose slip on is broken and still attached to the hose and is at the bottom of the hole.

Went to the dealer .... the part cost 31.50$!!!! For a tiny plastic nozzle!! The thing is, I cannot really argue and cannot prove a defect so I ordered it.

But for the life of me I can't figure how it could break as this part is inside the liftgate . Maybe someone hit hard on it. Parking lot accident ? Costly.

Got the part

Good advice, and I would definitely go but alas my free time is very limited these days :) I remember a time where I could spend an afternoon at this gigantic junkyard we have over here. Cheap parts and lots of fun...

Anyways, got the part :

Now this is a nice 36.00$ piece of plastic.

Very weird that it broke like that.

Here are the installation pics

I have a 2015 Patriot. Both of my front nozzles break constantly. Sounds like a known defect for Jeep. Ugh! So sick of replacing these every couple of months.
How are they breaking? I've never had one break on any vehicle I've owned.
