My 2014 Jeep Patriot will not accelerate past 18 miles an hour in second gear. It's a chilly winter morning here in Colorado. The gas tank is 1/8 full. Any ideas what the problem could be?
When you mentioned the cold morning, a frozen gas line was the first thing I thought of. A can of drygas is a cheap guess to try. It's happened to me. When the temperature fluctuates between above freezing and then severely cold condensation is a likely culprit.Sandstone,
Thanks for your advice and reply. Turns out that there was either some vapor or condensation in the fuel line. Later in the morning the car started and drove as normal. Thank you very much for the time you spent getting back to me. Much appreciated!
