Hello all, I'm new here. I own a 2016 jeep patriot latitude 4x4. It's been a really good jeep until now it has 130k miles it ran like a top. Out of no where I listed all power to the jeep. As in no dash lights no head light no door bell ding nothing at all. It has a new battery, starter, alternator, plus. Oil. Filters. N I still have the same issue with no power. I moved the fuse box around got power for sec r 2 it would crank n run. I shut it off back to no power no dash lights no head lights nothing. It's like u take the battery out the jeep n try to crank it n u get nothing. I've have mobile mechanic look at it he couldn't figure it out either. I'm 1100 bucks into this. No further to the problem. If anyone has advice or knowledge of what it may be I would greatly appreciate it. It's my wife's car she is 7 months pregnant. I have to get it fixed. In order for that I have to figure out the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

Check the battery connection at the TIPM, it's been known to cause total electrical power loss.

I have taking it off n put it back on as I was going to replace the fuse box. Mechanic told me not to because fuse box wasn't the issue. So I put it all bk on it was tight. I will check it again n check the wire to see if it may be bad. I'm just stump. Thank you for your reply. I will definitely check it again

I hate to discourage people from doing their own work, but when you get a mystery problem, especially electrical problems, a dealer might be your shortest route to success. They work on Patriots all day long and there's a reasonable chance they've seen your problem before. If not, they have access to TSBs, star reports, and factory support. I took my Patriot to a larger city dealership and they have one guy that specializes in electrical problems. Granted it took a couple visits, but they solved the problem.

I'll also add that my alternator burned out trying to keep the battery charged. The original battery failed and I paid for a replacement (I was at 200,000 miles, so it was probably due anyway). During this month-long crisis the replacement battery also croaked and my dealer replaced it FREE since it was the result of their not being able to diagnose my problem :). When they found the break in the harness it was a mess of corrosion -- nothing a roll of electrical tape could have fixed, so I went the distance and got the new harness. They also didn't charge me for a couple failed attempts during the diagnosis -- it pays to have a good relationship with your dealer.

In a more recent incident, I had a problem with my 2019 Compass and my dealer got on the phone with the corp. It took about a day but they came up with a solution. In my case it wasn't very expensive -- $250 IIRC.

Thank you for your reply, I'm leaning towards a shop. They just charge insane amount of money like 100 r2 to diagnose another 100 r 2 per hour shop fees multi guys working that u pay per hour u spend more than what the vehicle is worth. I guess that's why there in biss.not one shop I've spoke to told me anything about the vehicle it was money first always. Not to mention few hundred tow bill to get it there so ur just about 1k into it before anybody even lays there eyes on it. I'll just have to keep saving my money till I have enough to take it to the shop. Thanks again for your reply n input. It's greatly appreciated.

I moved the fuse box around got power for sec r 2 it would crank n run.
Intermittent electrical problems are often wiring or connector related, though it could also be a problem with the PCB inside the fuse box / TIPM.

Thank you for your reply. Had 1 person tell me fuse box internally was probably bad. Bad thing is u can't purchase a new fuse box. Junk yard n then its a programming issue. Just hoping it was nothing serious. It may just be.

I don't know how far down the rabbit hole you want to go, but here's a few more resources:

TIPM removal disassembly

TIPM repair / replacement
