Bill was a doozy but everything's in. Needed new wheel bearings on top of everything else, second time I've replaced them in three and a half years. Waiting on RC to send me a bushing rebuild kit, still need to do that and ebrake pads and a bolt retorque in the next couple weeks.

It rides so much better now though, legitimately think it rides better than stock, when I first bought it almost 40k miles ago. And with the adjustable everything my rear alignment is finally perfect, which it never was even before I lifted it.

Do you have adjustable uppercontrolarms in the back? Asking because my rear wheels are a bit tipping inwards and i would like to adjust the camber.

I do now! Went with Rocky Road Outfitters for those, and Moog adjustable toe links as well. Took them an hour and a half to dial in the alignment but, to be fair, they had literally taken the entire rear end apart and put it back together again. Had the same camber issue, I've been watching my tires wear a bit faster on the inside shoulder. Having a proper alignment should fix that, plus they're noticeably quieter on the road now too, a good sign they're sitting on the correct part of the tread.

Been working on fog light adapters this week.

Still have gussets to weld in and I'd like to powder coat them. Installing them will be its own thing that may end up waiting for warmer weather though. Gonna try to get them to line up with the fog pockets but if that doesn't work out I'll cut out a chunk of the bumper cover.

Also I've been working on a fancy version of a-pillar brackets for a while now. The goal is to keep the lights as low as possible and move them outboard a bit to keep windshield visibility, plus mount a scene light on the bracket as well. Hopefully I'll have a rough set cut out on our plasma table to test out soon, then when I'm happy with the design I have a lead on where to get them cheaply laser cut.

Update from Ebuy7 jeep patriot ladder. So it wasn't a scam and they are a legit company selling from China. Shipping was incredibly fast. The ladder itself cost 108 but shipping was expensive but i think it is reasonable given where it is coming from. The product itself doesn't weigh much. I believe it is around 15 pounds in weight. Welding is subpar/poor. No instructions included on how to install, but not needed either as it is easy to figure out. I would definitely skip out on the bolts and washer they provide and go to home depot and get yourself something more weatherproof. Installing the ladder was not hard at all. Fairly simple and straight forward. I stood on top of the ladder and I am 6 feet 175, my friend who is 6'2 and 210 stood on top of it and shook the **** of the car, and no-fault points were noted. So far its too early to tell if this would hold. But i can defineitly find this useful to put stuff on top of the cargo basket and it gives a great access point from the back. What shipping method did you select?

Today I replaced a blown speaker in my pass side front door. Ive got the base setup in my 2007 and it seems that front right handles most of the bass. Well it was farting pretty badly even at low volumes with flat eq. I picked up a stock replacement off ebay for 10 bucks shipped and swapped it out in 10 minutes. Really easy changing speakers in this vehicle. Now no more farts. LOL. Now if I could only get the stuck cd out of the unit that the PO left me. It plays but has an error upon eject.

Tracked down a pesky coolant leak. Only leaks when it gets hot, and then burns off the coolant so there is no puddle. I pressurized the system and found the Thermostat housing was the culpret, along with a worn out pressure cap. Replaced the cap, and found the center bolt on the housing was not tightened down. I tried to replace the housing but the one I purchased from Amazon didn't fit . couldn't get the bolts to start in the engine so I cleaned the old one and put it back on with new gaskets. Time will tell... it was a major heat wave today so I did this standing in a snowbank and temps got just above 30 degrees.

Ouch. Too bad that push bar didnt cover the lower bumper too. That said, I think you just busted up the plastic stuff. New bumper cover/grill and youll be back in business.
Mostly that, and the brush guard is bent but fixable (fabricator by trade) but it also puked all the trans fluid out of the cooler at the scene. The only bit of body damage that actually worries me is the chip in the fender next to where the marker housing usually lives. Not sure if they can or will want to fix that, might have to be an entire fender. I also don't know how well the rad supports survived, might need to also replace those. But, it's at the shop, so we'll see.

🦌

By the way my G46s survived, the mounts are bent but housings are in one piece. Wouldn't think it from the way the rock guards exploded. But that's nice since KC doesn't make them, or anything like them, anymore.

Edit for big news... Insurance is waiving deductible. :D

Brought the Jeep home today. She runs and tracks like she normally does, so that's good news. Turns out the oil filter had taken a hit, otherwise everything else checks out. Did notice I have zero door gap on the driver side, so hopefully I can adjust the fender to fix that. It's chipped the paint on the door though, kind of a bummer.

Looks super weird without the brush guard. I should be able to straighten the Euroguard out with a chainfall though. Probably going to have to strip it and repaint it, the powdercoat has peeled off in several spots.

Repaired my wire loom for my Diode Dynamics switchbacks.

Got ahold of KC HiLites and unfortunately they don't have spare parts for my G46s anymore. I figured as much. So I'll try straightening out the brackets, worst case scenario I can fab up some new one. Really loved those rock guards though and nobody has them anywhere online.

View attachment 98305 Got my 2007 Black Betty up to 150000 kms , almost 100000 miles. 🙂
Interesting. I got my 2007 from a co worker and she told me the cars name was blue Betty. Maybe they are related. LOL. Also, I dont care what the title says, my pat is grey not blue. I ask everyone who sees it and they say grey too. Ive seen the slate blue on xjs and this is not that color.

Today I received the pair of front knuckles that I ordered. Planning on rebuilding the whole front end as soon as it warms up a bit. Knuckles, control arms, axles, tie rods, brakes. My last ditch effort to cure the shakes and the grinding that's been going on for over a year, that nobody has been able to diagnose.

Replaced the sway bar end links with some serviceable Moog ones. Which fixed a tapping noise I had been experiencing when going over bumps/ pot holes at lower speeds.I have to say they’re a lot better built than oem. I’m planning on doing the front calipers pads, and spark plugs later this week. On a side thought does anyone have a recommendation for some led fog lights? I’ve been wanting to upgrade to a brighter option.
