That's my jeep. Thanks I was having a hard time getting the pics up

 

Basically I had to cut a few inches off the front of the rails. Because the Xterra roofline drops down in the front. The width is perfect. I got the racks from a pull-a-part for 25 dollars. But at most junkyards they run around 200. I used riv-nuts to mount the racks. It did require drilling and filling the old riv-nuts from the old racks.

 

Looking forward to more information on how you did this. The new places you had to add rivnuts is it strong enough to support the rack or do you think there will be issues? Also did you have to take down the headliner to get under it or is all the work able to be done from above? Finally when you filled the old roof rack holes how bad were they as in did you have to get some paintwork done?

I am super excited about this because I think the roof rack of the Xterra is one of the nicest around. I have often thought about trying to adapt one as I thought it would be perfect on the Patriot. Looking forward to your responses and further pictures.
