Hey all,

Just bought a 2009 Jeep Patriot on Saturday. Really happy with it so far. My parents have had 2 CJs and now have a Commander, so I figured I would join the Jeep.

I am looking to buy Window Air Deflectors for the front two windows and the back two windows. Id like them to insert into the Window Channel rather than get 3M taped to the exterior above the window.

I have found them in a few places but they are a lot more expensive than I thought. I called a Mopar supplier that said they only supplied the tape on ones. I'd prefer for it to have the Jeep logo (who wouldnt) but it doesnt need to. Can anyone point me in the right direction for the right price?

Thanks in advance. Going to be my first accessory... many more to come.

I have the weathertech in-channel ones and love them. I bought the complete front and rear set for $99 plus shipping...now they are offering free shipping.

Mine are in channel too, and from Lund. But I like Toddes better as his have no tape to lock them in, and can be removed to be used in another vehicle. That would be very cool as I'm going to trade my 08 for an 11, and could just take them from the 08 and use them in the 11, if they didn't have the tape.

Weathertech calls it their light tint. It's not that light that they look clear. Here's some pictures of mine.

Does anyone know how dark the dark ones are? On the weathertech site, they look really clear, you can see the top of the girl's head through the deflectors...

No worries...they are much darker then what they show on the website and they look almost black when installed (double check my photos above, those are the light tint ones).

Seems to me like they only make the light smokes... doesnt really leave me too much of an option haha. Light smokes it is. Thanks for the help!

Yup, I have the weathertech deflectors too. 3rd vehicle I've put them on and always had good luck with them. Pics in my profile album.

Alright, I just bought Roof Bars with Christmas money and looking to buy the window air deflectors now.

I am still looking at the Weathertech deflectors, Does anyone have AutoVentShade deflectors? They're in channel and like $52 for a set of 4.

Thanks, Happy New Year.

Stupid question... What are the value of these? How do they effect life with your Patriot besides looks? Thanks

They help move air through the cabin. If you're a smoker, they pull the smoke out rather nicely while you're moving. In the summer, you can keep your windows cracked open about an inch or so and not have to get into an oven. you can get fresh air in to the cabin while driving in a rain storm (or if the car is parked in a rain storm). They help defrost windows in the winter...they're just great, simple devices really. I love mine, I've been using them for over ten years on various cars/trucks and I'll always put a set on whatever current car I have.

What Todd said x2.

I've been using them for as long as I can remember. Although my wife does complain about the breeze sometimes in the winter, she did buy the ones I have on the Jeep. I think they also reduce the noise when you crack a window.

i have the AVS in channel vent visors, they are tits
Ya, I am trying to see if it's worth it to get the Weather Tech deflectors vs the AVS ones. AVS are a lot cheaper. How long have you had them on and have they faded or ever fallen out? Do you have any pictures you can post.

Thanks Buffalo
