What is or will be the first Accessory you will buy for your Patriot?
So Here is my list:

I already own a PDA that runs TOM TOM so my GPS is taken care of. I'll just have to figure out how I want to mount it.

1.) I am considering seat covers. The one they found me has the Slate Gray Yes Essentials Fabric and I know its has great stain resistancy. But I am sure I can liven up the interior by using some sort of aftermarket seat covers.

2.) A Roof basket /and or roof light bar.

3.) An Engine Tuner especially from SuperChips. I had one for my durango and loved it.

4.) A lift kit as long as its a quality product.

5.) Once the lift kit is on, I'll be looking for an aftermarket front bumper.

I was drooling over that SEMA Patriot(the orange one) but I've got my TJ for heavier-duty offroading, etc so the Pat's going to be kept fairly stock suspension wise, well thats the plan anyway :)

My first mods are going to be too add cruise control and window guards too the Pat. Also installing a new sound system, the stock one is great, but I've got some brand new JL Audio amps laying around so might as well put them too use.

When I get my Patriot (which is still a long way off :( ) I think I'll add a rooftop cargo basket. I'll probably wait until after a few camping trips before deciding whether I really need it, though. As for modifications; I want to have the rear seat headrests removed, plug the holes where the fog lights would be, 2" lift, possibly upgrade to 18" wheels, and possibly add a swing-away spare-tire mount on the tailgate (depends on how much room is left in the spare tire well below the cargo floor after swapping the full-size spare with a space-saver spare). Ah, dreams...

Definitely a pet barrier to keep the pups securely squared away in the back.

We've got a portable XM Radio system in Hubby's car...I'm sure we'll move it to my Heep for long trips.

We'll probably get an after-market nav eventually.

And I'd like to look into a remote start.

Of course...gotta get the Jeep first...

The molded splash guards and locking gas cap (which I've already bought....they've been in the basement for well over a month), and Husky Liner floor mats (also already purchased). I'm considering the Jeep seat covers and the iPod adapter kit, if I could find out more about exactly what it does and how it works and if it can be used with the standard radio. I've got the standard radio/cd player coming in my Patriot. I rarely play the radio in the car anyway, but do use my iPod on longer trips.

Already bought:
Carpet for the cargo area, cargo net, velcro jeep case, floor mats to put over the Jeep floor mats, license plate frame (already had), car cover, and trailer hitch.

Those little window thingees like small awnings over the tops of the windows, the Mopar ones look great, don't cost much, and allow the windows to be left slightly open without fear of rain coming in. This not only keeps the car cooler in hot summer parking lots and allows for better venting and defogging in the rain while on the road, but also the interior and upholstery lasts a lot longer by not getting baked or soaked.

Good reiurn for the buck.

Don't have the subwoofer so cannot comment on that. The fit was perfect on mine. Is rubber underneath. Jparts.com sells it for 57.72 and if you buy over $75 there is no shipping charge.

Floor Mats

The first things I want to get for my Patriot are floor mats.

Then I was thinking about cross bars for the roof rails. I tried the cross bars from my wife's Grand Cherokee. They have the same mounting system but they are wider! Duh! That's about it. I don't want to load it up too much - it is a lease.

First options I purchased were two Yakima Raptor roof bike racks, and I managed to coerce the dealership into ordering me a set of the carpeted floor mats. Took 6 weeks but they finally came through.

I want to get the locking gas cap for sure (I too was surprised the door wasn't lockable.) I also want to get the factory cruise control and I'd love to get the factory fog lamps. Finally (and this probably won't happen) is to get the factory 17" wheels. I love them so much better than the stock steel 16" that I currently have.
