So after poking around here for a few months I have noticed some of us name our patriots so I'm just wondering what name are out there. I grew up with my father naming all of his trucks so it carried over to me. Also if you have had other cars with names that would be cool to list also.

11' Patriot - Penelope
06' Audi A4 Quattro - Summer
02' Civic Si - Nugget

I don't really have a name for my Patriot, other than Pat. Least ways that's how I refer to it. That or Jeep.

I had a Galaxy 500 (no, not a Sammy phone) years back. 2 door, 302 V8 and a vinyl roof. I referred to that car as my "GDLC". Grand Deluxe Land Cruiser... and it was.

I "Built" up / customized a Sears Feather Craft (boat) when the kids were young-ins. Lots of Fishin, water activities and fun. Called it Split Shot.

Naming cars--not so much--just called them by size &/or color--"take the big green one", or the "square red one". In this last instance, it referred to the fact that both of our cars were RED, one a VW beetle, the other the Patriot. So, my wife always took " the round red one" unless she was driving with more than two folks, then she upgraded to the "square red" one.

Now, airplanes--that's a different topic! As you may recall, many war aircraft had names, "Memphis Belle", etc. I named my first Stearman biplane I restored (it was an aerobatic machine...) "Miss Roundheels", as "she" (all planes and ships are 'she'...) was so easy to get on her back....

But, this does bring up an interesting question: What do you name a white car? Can't call it, "the ghost", 'cause when you get down and dirty, it will be exposed...."******" sounds like an old prospector....any ideas....?

I had a White '93 Cherokee and I named it "Snowball." That name could jinx you. I bought said Cherokee brand new in January and it barely lasted till the snow melted. It was the most miserable vehicle I ever had. Its a wonder I ever I ever bought another Jeep. Several minor problems and a clutch that was never right.
Then I got rear-ended on Memorial Day weekend followed by a really lousy repair (from the shop the Jeep dealer in that city farmed me out to) and then the clutch problem again. I digress, but I guess I'm still mad about that bucket of bolts. We need a smiley with steam coming out of his ears.

End of story I traded it at only 6 months old. As an outside sales rep I just couldn't spend any more time at the dealership.
