I was driving on Sunday night, had just left my house. My car all of a sudden I stepped on the gas, all the lights came on for P, D, R, 1 etc. and the car wouldn't drive. I would press the gas but the RPMs were low. So I stopped the car and sat for about a half hour and then tried to drive it again and noticed that my transmission temperature warning light was on . I talked to a friend who is a mechanic that told me that is the failsafe kicking in. So now I checked my transmission fluid and I'm trying to change my two front tires because I read on another Forum that someone had that problem from that. Any help someone could give would be great.

I would start with getting the error codes read. If you don't have a scanner, some auto parts stores (like Autozone) might loan you one.
