Just traded in my 2015 Patriot Altitude 4x4 for a new 2016 Patriot sport SE. And I must say I like it a lot better. Its still FD1 with the 6 speed auto like my old one. But the 2016 Patriot sport SE 4x4 comes with Auto headlights, leather heated seats and front and rear tow hooks. I also like the front hood sticker. All I need now are skids plates and bigger tires! There was also one FD2 for like $300 more but I couldn't stand the CVT.

Very nice, I also like that good sticker. I see you're in riverside, I also live in the inland empire, the Apple Valley area.

Congrats and nice looking SE and I agree with you about the CVT--not my thing either. Enjoy that great new ride.

FD1 system available with 6 Speed auto or CVT (Doesn't include Tow Hooks or Skid plates and has a less aggressive BLD when 4x4 lock is engaged)

FD2 system available only with CVT (Includes Tow Hooks, Skid plates and has a more aggressive BLD when 4x4 is engaged and has lower gearing for off road)

There may be a few more details, but that s the bulk of the information

Very nice looking PAT......I agree that the factory hood sticker is also nice.....And you will have a very nice tranny in the 6sp auto as we both very well know.....I have never owned a CVT and after all I have read I don't want one either.

Enjoy your new ride!

After all I've read I wouldn't want to own one either, but I do and I love it. Goes in next week for the 220,000 mile tranny juice change.

Ya just can't believe everything you read. If I believed everything I read I'd expect my Patriots to be leakers, but not so. :)

Close to useful.

2.0L=2wd only, CVT2 or 5-spd clutched
2.4L=2wd or FD1, 5-spd clutched or (gag)unnecessary 6-spd(CVT should still be there)
2.4L=FD2, CVT2L only(low range for offroad, no autostick)
