there's no screws on this cover. there are three tabs on the bottom of the light that make me think it is supposed to click in but i'll be darned. i can't find some way of clicking it in. it's a 2016 patriot. looks like i never wrote that ,soo sorry.

 

If you're talking about the center mounted brake light on top of the hatch, according to all the info I have they're the same for all years.

 

If you're talking about the other two, they snap in place, then you put the other holders in:

 

If all else fails, post a pic of it, might help us figure it out.

What vehicle is that? Definitely doesn't look like a Jeep Patriot 3rd brake light, or rear hatch...
