Thans for the offer! I believe TJN wants to sell me his though. I am interested in your headlights if you could make them black with with bulbs.

Have you encountered any issues with them, and how does it compare in terms of brightness to OEM? Are there settings so that you can have halos/projectors on/off separately?

Nice! Did you fix hyper flashing?
It looks great, but yeah the Hyper Flashing is still an issue. Attempting to resolve it now but its definitely giving me a little headache. All of the correct wires are spliced however they don't want to work. I'll post some pictures to see if you guys have an input on what I have done wrong.

Edit: Here are the pictures of the wires I have spliced. Can't seem to figure out where I went wrong:

Night Shade is a definite possibility, I've accumulated quite a few tickets over the years so I don't want to do anything that would entice the coppers to pull me over more!

Got the new LED Reverse Bulbs installed over the weekend! Also purchased blacked out JEEP logo installed on AVS bug shield

Hi SwedeSpeed.

If you don't mind, I have some questions on your sound install:

For your radio install, was it a plug 'n play installation? Any issues?
Did you need an additional trim plate, or was the standard trim enough?

Cheers

Hey Mambo,

For all purposes, no it isn't plug and play. Once you remove the stock unit there is a metal frame that it slides into to hold the unit it place. I had to hammer it out to make room for my pioneer double din. You will also require a metra wire adapter kit and a faceplate/dash and antenna adapter. I'll try to create a list of parts with links for you.

You can see on either side of my head unit the face plate adapter that makes it fit flush and snug.

EDIT: Here is the parts list for my audio setup, not including Sub and Amp and those wiring kits:

1. Pioneer AVH-X2500BT 6.1" Double DIN DVD Car Receiver with Bluetooth AVHX2500BT

2. Metra XSVI-6522-NAV Wiring Kit

3. Metra 95-6511 Installation Dash Kit

4. Metra 40-EU10 Antenna Adapter

Thanks SwedeSpeed,
Going to check it out and see if I can get the components locally.
Got quoted stupid numbers for the 2650 today (fitted), so if I can plug 'n play (using adapters) and fit myself I might give it a go, as I can get the head unit at a reasonable price.

$2650 for a headunit install? That's obsurd. Even with little knowledge, you'll be able to do it yourself for MUCH MUCH less.

That is correct. By ordering all of the parts online, I was able to save TONS of money. The shop quoted me $50 for an adapter that I bought on eBay for .99 cents. The same can be said for the head unit, amp, subwoofer, and all other installation components.

By purchasing all the required components online, I brought the install price down to ~$250. The total project costed approximately $750.

NO, not $2650!
Wasn't clear in my post, I meant the X2650BT head unit (newer model of Swede's unit).....

Subject to verification of adapters etc, the indication was $800 without nav, $1000 with nav (equivalent pricing here in Johannesburg) I can get the unit for about $350 (equivalent)
