Remote Start on 2017 Jeep Patriot turning vehicle on by itself

Where should I start on fixing this problem? This week, the Jeep started up by itself at 11:30 at night when everyone was already in bed. Now it's happened several more times the last few days. We've had the same key fob since 2017. Could the battery just be failing on the key fob? I've googled to find out if its possible to just disconnect the remote start function on the jeep and I don't see anything other than- pop the hood each time you get out of the car. Anybody fix this problem easily?
Thanks!

That's serious. Is the Jeep in an attached garage where the exhaust could get in the house? Is there crime in your neighborhood? About a month ago I talked to a guy who just got his jeep back after it was stolen. Car thieves have a receiver/ recorder in their pocket and capture the remote code signal in parking lots then steal your car at night. Just a possibility it's someone else but hopefully not and you get it fixed.

If I am correct the Jeep will only run for 15 minutes after its activated by the remote start key fob, also the would-be thief would have to have the key in the ignition to get it out of park also being able to put the key in the running position.
