My removable rear flashlight doesn't work. Can it be opened and change the battery/s? There looks like a small slot along the side seam to possibly use a screw driver to pry it open. I checked out a new one and they cost a arm and leg to buy.
Thanks
Jim

yea, I snapped mine apart a few years ago. There was also a thread on here from way back about the replacement battery too.

I would have never known this thing existed if my subs hadn't shook it off the charger..

I did a battery swap on mine for my 2007 and it still didn't work. Battery was almost $8.00. Found the whole flashlight on eBay for $11.95 with free shipping. Works great! Just have to search for the deals!

After knocking mine off the "charger" a million times between me and my dog, I just threw it in the garage. That and it doesn't even work off the charger-this I noticed after only like 2 years of ownership... I would have thought it would last longer than that

When i got my Pat,the previous owner or someone at the dealer took the flashlight out of my Pat. So i found a new one on Ebay and i couldnt get it to snap in the slot correctly and hold into the ceiling.I had to have some other warranty work done to my Pat so i told them to fix the light while it was in there. They did fix the light and the flashlight does charge and can be removed now but the holder doesnt seems to hold it very well.Theres times it will just fall out after hitting a big bump. The light isnt that bright anyway and i dont think it worth the time to fix it.Just go out and buy one of the tiny led flashlights thats rechargeable that can be plugged into a 12v outlet.Work much better, last longer, cheaper, easier to find, and they are brighter.

Before I bought my Pat, I had done a some browsing on the web.
When the dealer was giving me the run through on how to operate my new Pat, I asked if there were a rechargeable flashlight, he didn't know what I was talking about so I assumed the Sport model didn't have one. Then I read the manual and found I did have one.
To be fair, it was a GMC, Chrysler, Jeep dealer, so I guess the guy can't be familiar with all the vehicles, but still...
