Tomorrow afternoon, the wife and I sign off on our 'new' used 09 Jeep Liberty Sport. We test drove it last night and it is a great vehicle.

While the Liberty isn't as quick as my XJ, who ever thinks it doesn't have enough power is wrong. The V-6 is more than adequate for the vehicle. Would I like to see a 4.0? Yep, but that ain't gonna happen, so the 3.7L is the next best thing.

It is a Sport model with only 3,000 miles on the odometer. We get the remainder of the 3/36 warranty and 6yr, 80,000 mile powertrain warranty. We opted out of any type of extended warranties offered.

We picked it up for a little over $21,000. It is red with a beigh interior with two tone seats that have the Jeep logo imprinted on them. Sweet.

Congrats on the new ride! Is this going to be the new Colorado ride? What Dealer did you get it from?

P.S. Need a pic now:D

We bought it from Bosaks, out your way, in Merrillville. A really low key buying experience. Will was our salesman. A totally different experience than trying to buy from Griegers in Valparaiso.

I'm not sure I will be able to get the wife from behind the wheel to let me drive out to Colorado. She's already threating divorce court if I attempt to sit in the driver's seat!

Schoat, it is rated at 21 hwy and 15 city. We'll have to see what the real world says!

I'm not at all surprised you picked the new Liberty as your new Jeep. It is clearly the best Jeep of the bunch as far as an XJ Cherokee like vehicle. Looks like a nice ride. I'd say have fun, but I'm sure I'd be too late. I'm sure the fun has already started. :)

My wife let me drive it to--dare I say--Wal Mart this afternoon! Looking to take a nice day trip with it tomorrow.
