I just changed my PCV valve a week ago just to change it but I took it out and it was heavier than the replacement and it did not shake inside at all like the new one did.I can't believe what a difference it has made my jeep feels like when I first got it light and peppy and my gas mileage has gone up back up to 22 instead 19 or 20 around town. I just thought I would let everyone know and hope it works for you.
I bought my PCV valve and the Jeep dealership since I could not find it anywhere else but it was worth the 9 bucks took just 5 minutes to swap it out.I have 52,000 miles on my Patriot already and I am falling in love all over again J/k

On a unrelated topic while I was at the jeep dealership I decided to look at the 2011 Jeep Patriot and the sport model was 2 inches taller than my 07sport!!I had a tape measure with me and just decided to measure it because when I looked at it I was like wow that looks taller than mine and thought it was a FDII but nope just a sport.I really wish I could trade mine in.Slowly trying to make the wife convinced I need it

huh, makes you wonder if these things are prone to loading up with oil gunk and staying open creating a sort of vacuum leak. Thanks for the heads up, I may pop mine out and carb clean spray it some.

Having had a VW diesel and a diesel Liberty, I got in the habit of cleaning the pcv every time I changed the oil. Damn, I wish my wife hadn't flipped the Liberty upside-down!

yep that easy.just pull off the hose (might need to get it unstuck with screwdriver) and unscrew the PCV valve.took literally 5 minutes

Just remove plastic engine cover and on your left (facing vehicle) on the top you will see a hose that connects to the top of the motor.Popped off the hose unscrewed the PCV valve and screw the new one back in tighten it just a 1/4 turn more with a wrench put hose back on TADAA your done.very easy
