Wheels look like the Pro Comp 7032? Backspace is 4.5 on those, so compared to the stock offset of 40mm, if I understand this right and my math is correct, these wheels sit ~1.82" further out (exterior side of wheel), and a bit more than 1/4" further out on the inside side. Comparing to the 17" stock wheels (6.5x17). I'm looking for wheels now for Cooper Discoverer A/T3 224/70r16 tires. Stock FD1 2008 Sport. Any issues with pushing the wheel out and the extra wheel width?

Just got my tires and rims installed today:

Second setup was because I personally wasn't happy with the first.
I think this setup is perfect for a non lifted Patriot, even a 225 75 15
would work well.

Level 8 Punch 15x7 zero offset
215 75 15 BFG All Terrain KO

Thank you for this! It's by far the cleanest look I've seen. Simple and matches great with the silver Patriot. Our 14' Patriot has the stock 15" steel silver wheels and they look so bad/cheap. I love how those wheels look in your pictures. I've never heard of that brand and after some research they are about $100 a wheel which is cheap to me... are they reliable/good brand?

Have zero desire to lift the patriot either but having nicer wheels/little larger tires would be nice. Just don't want anything to rub.

Thanks,
-Nigel

Sorry the upload on the forum makes no sense to me! Uploaded to Imgur.

2016 4x4 Sport - No Lift, No Pinch Weld.
225/75rR16 CooperTire Discovery AT3s
Pro Comp 7032 16X8 with 5X4.5.

I love the way beefier and aggressive look. Feels like it drives/shifts better as well, but that may be the placebo effect of great looking rims/tires.

I was so close to going with the Dynapros ATMs as well. And we both went Pro Comp, good call. Great looking combo.

I just figured I’d throw this in because I haven’t seen it yet, 2016 FD1, 235/65R17 Yokohama Geolandar G015 with 17x8 ProComp 89 series wheels. Did the pinch weld mod just for peace of mind and so far no issues

Sweet tires man.
Do you think 235 70 r17 would fit without a lift? Or would that be pushing it.
I did find out that my 235 65 r17 end up rubbing on the inside front of the wheel well right before full lock. Doing a three point turn, on a two lane road causes it to rub. That is if I stay on the road. Pulling into a parking space it doesn't rub, unless I decide right at the edge of the parking spot that I want the spot. Hope that gives you a point of reference with the 65. If I remember right from my research going with a 70 WILL be an issue if you do not have a lift. There is an inch different in circumference for those two tires.

I got the look I wanted with the 65's and I don't think going to the 70's would have given it much of a different look. It would have given me more worry and less sleep.

One random comment on tires. I understand what the bigger tires do to my jeep. i.e. rub and causes my speedo to be off by 5 mph at most. However I always have to remind my wife/anyone else driving, about the issues when she drives it 3 times a year. Scares me and makes me cringe to think of her holding the wheel locked, pulling into a parking spot, not knowing whats happening.

There are lots and lots of forum topics on tires and what will and wont fit, do a quick search.

Bigger Tires & Spacers!

Just put some bigger tires on my stock wheels. I have a 2013 Patriot Sport 4x4. Went from 215/65R17 to 245/65R17 and added 1.25" spacers with no lift. It just barely touches the plastic covering the pinch weld when turning. I will be shaving that down today hopefully.

Just put some 225/65R17’s on with 1.25” wheel spacers. No rubbing or scrubbing, rides smooth and I enjoy the look a lot better than the stock 215/60R17.
