Here are my new shoes. Quadratech Moab Rims with 225/70 R16 General Altimax RT-43 Tires.

Have gotten to run them in dry rain and snow already (Love Colorado) and have only had them on for two weeks lol

Need to plasti dip the wheel weights when it gets a bit warmer

I do have the Stu's Lift so zero rubbing issues
What running boards are you using?

Hey all, Ive been reading some of the posts in this thread for the past couple of days now. trying to figure out what will work on a 2016 jeep patriot with no mods or lift. I was told that a 16x7 0 offset wheel wrapped in a 225-75-16 tire would work. but everywhere i go to to order something, they tell me it wont work. any suggestions?

that tire should be roughly about 29 inches tall which is kind of already pushing it for the patriot. with no lift or mods I would think that the height of the tire with the offset would cause the top of the tire to hit the the strut where the spring is supported on the bottom, so hitting a bump with any speed may cause some issues. next I would assume at full lock on steering would start to rub the front and rear of your sub frame, a spacer would fix that issue, but then it would push the tire into the pinch weld cutting the life of the tire. Id advise if you don't want to invest an money right away to accommodate your new tires, at least do the pinch weld mod first requires very little effort and about a $15 in a cutting disc and rust preventative paint from your local auto/hardware store, next if your budget allows some quality bolt on wheel spacers if you're comfortable running em, good luck!!

Honestly it's hard to say, there are a bit of variables to really consider. I'm sure it can be done and has been done. I did some of the math for your setup I'll try and get you pictures if I can. So your current OEM is just about 8 inches wide vs going to almost 9 inches wide on paper. With a 0 offset that puts the wheel/tire smack in the middle of the WMS, with that said that leaves about 4.5 inches of tire that goes inward. Now on to the real world numbers, I just put a cinder block on the left and right side of my tire and measured the distance between the space. I got 8.8 inches wide on a supposed 8 inch wide tire, I'm assuming with weight on the tire air pressure pushes the tire outward. Assuming the same happens to a ride that's already almost 9 inches wide that puts you to about 9.75 inches wide, which just turned your 4.5 inchss of inward tire to closer to 5 inches. I hope you're still here with me. The distance between the WMS and where the tire will start to occupy the same space as bottom on the spring baseplate is anywhere from 4-5 inches max. You cant really do anything about the distance from the top of the tire to the bottom of the baseplate because the lift only pushes the strut down. Adding a tire that's 2 inches taller adds an inch to the top and bottom. In my picture you can see the distance is just about 1.5 inches with nearly bald tires so new bigger tire with eat the available space pretty quick. So in short the spacer will just push the top of the tire away from that baseplate. The pictures I'm including aren't the actually measurement of what I was able to get just showing the spots I'm referring to. Hope this helps!!

I haven't seen this rim on here yet so i figured I'd share it, its the ATX 201, 16 inch with 0 offset. The tires are KO2's 235/70x16r. Mine is a 2016 and the pinch weld mod is needed!

Great looking wheel/tire combo!! that roof rack is pretty sweet too! just my opinion but I think some red tow hooks in the front would really make it pop. But overall awesome looking Pat, man!
