I’m replacing my friends Patriot motor after she sent number 3 piston threw both sides of the block. Well I’m a Jeep guy myself and have build many XJ’s and ZJ’s and know them better then I know myself lol. But this is the first Patriot I’ve messed with. I just finished getting the new motor in and everything is plugged in and back together but the damn thing will not start let alone turn over only thing I’m getting is the little lightning bolt on the dash and CEL with only two codes one for battery disconnect and two for throttle position sensor. So anyone that can give me some help I’d greatly appreciate it and thank you

What year is the vehicle, which engine?
What are the error code numbers?
Was the replacement engine new, a re-man, or from salvage?
If it's a salvage engine, how old and how many miles did the donor vehicle have? Did you see it run without issues (no problems with throttle body, etc.) before it was installed?
Is the battery good? Are all connections sound? Is there power getting to the starter? Any problems with bad connections on the fuse box or relay box? All fuses good?
Is the starter good? Did you try connecting the starter to 12v directly to see if it turns over?

It’s 2012 with the 2.4 she got the motor online shipped from New York to Nevada that’s about all the info I got. Only code I get is p2138 and the little lightning bolt on the dash and the starter is good everything is hooked up I’m totally at a lose. On top of the pregnant woman wanting her Jeep back I’m trying not to lose my mind
Is the Vehicle Security Indicator (red led above the temp gauge) lit?

If not, it could either be a problem with ASD/Main Relay or it's wiring/connections in the Relay Fuse Box.
It could also be a problem with the PCM
