So far not seeing much in the way of instructions on how to use this device.. the website says community support available but I'm can't find a forum for it.

adapters are easy to get,
its the software/programming that matters,
this item doesnt seem to supply any programming,
those that can provide programs for such, can generally use just about any adapter out there

Yeah it's basically a usb to ODB adapter with software that makes it easy to use a well known scripting language like python to access CAN bus

The software is on github.. I'm guessing it's a device driver a python library and I believe there are some example scripts there as well

So in theory you could have this hooked up and run a data logger script (or all sorts of things) on your laptop instead of paying alot for a proprietary solution

IDK why someone just doesn't write a program for a generic Bluetooth ELM adapter... They're cheaper and work just fine. Unless there is limited write access on them? You can clear a check engine light so they have some sort of write access.
