I am at dealer right now

They found the prob,

Relay in the realy box near front rider side under the battery!

Realy was toast,,all rust up,,and ywo wires under were done,,,,,,so they had many codes,

So they will put conecter and a new realay!

Up this will be all done soon and have no more prob!

Hope its under warenty,,i am witing here,,,i could have this myself,,,but having a warenty,,,i took no chance!

I went to look at the 2016 model in show room,,,wow. Not mutch deference frome my 2010""" inside and out!

I ask the main mecanic,,,about new renegade,,,cheroque and a pat,,,,and he told me. He would get a pat 2016 with the new 6 speed before he takes a renegade or cheroque! Wow

Looking at high altitude model now!
There having deals on now....

Might wait until the 2017 model,,,,,

Looking at this,,,,i could transfer my roof racks,,,hitch and everything i think on the new one!

I do look at crv and rav4 and tuckson,,,,,but its all about $ down the road!

Lets see whats comes out off this garage trip! Will post about finial resut later on.....

Yes. Its under warenty
At least i ahving some monney back frome this warenty

Sask pat. Did told me about this prob,,,,,,,weird to see so mutch ruast inside a plastic realay box,,,,,,good this there was like one tiny wide still holding on,,,so that is why it was still starthing.

It did had many codes because of this.

Now he is checking all my front end:),,,,

Love my dealer.

Might keep my jeep for at least 10 more months,,,he wont worth less in 10 months then nnow anyway,,but guive time to save monney,,,and mabe get a 2017. Or a guge deal on a 2016. Will by then

Its nice to have the warenty,,,,i baught the best one i could then andniys chrysler not aftermarket!

I did not got my monney i paid gor it yet!

I did get a few repaid done on it daugh.....

Sadly i think any jeep purchase should get an extra warenty,,,i dont know many peoples that ad no problemes on them,,,,,,,but someonenthink to keep is jeep for a long period,,,yep get an extra warenty,,,first its cheaper to buy at the same time as the jeep,,,then pay later like i did!

Get a min 5 year bumper bumper,,,or the 7 years bumper bumper,,,pretty sure if you keep that jeep,,,you will need it sadly.

Did took a serious look at the 2016 jeep pat theyhad in show room,,it was 33g$ but its special for 29g$. A altitude model,,,,,

29 plus tax plus those extra and you are up to 36g+. Thats is a lot of monney,,,,,looking at it,,,,the inside and out look almost the same,,,,plus its not trail rated like mine,,,,,but do have open roof window wichni dont want! And leater int wish i dont want,,,,

I can get a 2016 toyota rav for same equipement for the exact same price,,,,,wish is more reliable,,,,and hold more value,,,something to think about...

But for now,,,i like my jeep,,,and will keep it gor onother 8-10 months min,,,if not. 16 months max,,,,,,,,,in 16 month they will be still 6 months of that gold warenty and will have max. 100km so 60 mile on it max....so would be not bad to sell i hope.

Don't buy the rav. You will have a street dweller, tin can. At least the pat is made solid, Toyotas are made from tin cans. They rust in no time and you fart on them the wrong way they will dent. Toyotas are the most boring vehicles made today. Pure junk riding on their so called "reliability reputation". However, besides the 22r 4 cyl, the rest are just as unreliable as everything else out there.

I just hit 91000 km, no major issues as of yet but I'm now off all manufacturer warranty. Contemplated getting a 3rd party warranty but I'll risk going without, it's paid for and I got 6 years out of it so far. Next time I'm under the hood I'll go through the wiring and relay boxes to look for signs of trouble.

Good that you did not did need one!

Actualy. I do minor mecanics myself,,,like brakes. Radiators,,,alternator...etc

And all what they did in suspensions is easy to do and not expensive wen you get part on the net.

I baught it,,,because i am a bitscare about,,,electronics,,,tranny etc...

Plus its been 6 years i have and was paid in 3 so. 4g was a lot of monney but that iswith tax,,,,,but my jeep is guething old,,,and the chance are more probable to get troble,,,,,,,,,,anyway,,,i will probably will get my money back if i keep it one more year in patrs etc,,,,and might be able to sell it a bit more because still warenty etc.

But there seems to have some very good price on parts out there.....i know here in ottawa i can do my brakes all around pads and disks under 300 as an example,,,but would cost like 800 at the garage..

Brake a leg on your pat

There's a guy who posted on here about dropping $8,000 on a used Patriot with 70k miles and then like a month later is facing $5k for a new tranny and some other stuff. So suddenly that $8k used car bargain is costing as much as a brand new base model Patriot (here in the USA they are much cheaper).

Warranties are great if you need them. I usually find that they at least pay for themselves, and sometimes they pay for themselves 2 or 3 times over.

When I buy new I don't get the extended warranty unless, as in my case, they were giving them away. Same thing with used vehicles. I use my judgment and if I have doubts I don't buy it. I'll start looking long before I buy and when I get around to it, I'm well aware of the market and I've learned the weak spots on whatever I'm looking at. I wouldn't buy a Patriot with a sunroof. I avoided a Dodge Caliber because the spare had a rusty wheel: that just looked to me like a leaker. We bought another Patriot instead (2014) and the first time it rained it came down with the dome light leak, but was promptly fixed under warranty and no problems since. It helps to have an honest dealer with a good service department.

Me dave?

Need a new keyboard

If its for my bad writing,,,sorry. French canadian here,,,so not very good in english,,,sorry about that

About a rav 4 bowring,,,wow. Look at stats of rav 4 and crv. Those are very reliable,,and hold there monney way more then any pat,,,for the same price,,,,in 2010. Today i would get like 4 g more min then my pat,,,again paid the same price.

But everybody there own!

Again i still like my pat,,,,it those everything i need,,,but dont want problemes,,simple as that!

Je ne pas parle Francais.

The school I attended did not start languages until 8th grade. My family moved the summer before I started 8th grade. My new school started languages in 7th grade. But now I was in 8th grade and they would NOT let an 8th grade student take a 7th grade class! (Even though I was technically the same age)

Yes, the same age. Through a similar situation I'd started Kindergarten in one state and then my family moved to a new state where I was too young for 1st grade, but they let me start, rather than taking a year off, because I'd already had Kindergarten. So really, I was the same age as the students they wouldn't let me study with! :icon_rolleyes: I wish I'd fought their policy, but how can a13 year old kid go up against the school administration?

And so this joke:
What do you call someone who speaks 3 languages? Trilingual
What do you call someone who speaks 2 languages? Bilingual
What do you call someone who speaks only one language? American

And now you know why.

Yeah some of the school policies are silly. I started school in California on September 10th (their regular start) or something, and then we moved to Texas in the middle of the year. The principal said: "we started school on August 25th, so you're missing 2 weeks of school. You can't pass the 9th grade if you miss over 10 days of school and you've already missed over 10 days." Not my fault each school district sets their own semester start times. lol.

The principal found a solution. I had to attend Saturday all day detention for 2 months straight (The Breakfast Club). I went there at 8AM and left at 3PM. I made the most of the time. I used it to do all my homework and projects (never had to do any homework at home in that 2 months).

As for languages, English is sort of the default language around the world that people learn so they can communicate. A Swedish person and an Italian will most likely speak English to understand each other. So I guess languages are not as emphasized here. But it would be nice to teach kids another language -- especially like Spanish, Chinese, Japanese. Imagine if you run a company, and there are people on staff who speak other languages. Could help in business situations. Our school had French, Spanish, and Latin. I chose French because my surname is French-Canadian.

Well Joco I'm glad you got that all sorted out and you are back on the road.

Summer's I work with a bunch of french guys from quebec, every year I understand a bit more lol. Most of them just swear words though, cuz I'm a materials tester for that company.

That guy that bought his for 8k, "being a steal" in the first place I don't think so as much. If thats usd that's more than one like that would have gone for up here in Canada. I picked up my Frosty with a blown transmission for around $1500 trade value. I did my research before hand and knew one could be had in my area for $1500 or less so I jumped on Frosty, turned out I only spent 800 for the "new" used transmission.
