Hi all,
first of all, sorry for my bad english, I'm from Austria/Europe.
I changed my 1996 XJ into a Jeep Patriot CRD matt black.
I'll get it next week on friday.
It was a demonstration car and after we saw and drove it, my wife and I loved it and bought it. I'm sure, I'll miss my Indian, but the Pat seems to be the best alternative.
(As a Jeep fan, I hate most of the new cars - European, Asian or American - they all look the same - boring and "modern". But with a 2 year old son, we needed a car with air condition - the XJ was without a.c.)
My good old XJ:
Our new Patriot:
The Jeep is matt black (foil) and the engine hood is carbon (foil).
It's registration date was march 2010, but when I look at the cockpit, it must be the "old" Patriot, 2008/09 I guess.
I can't wait 'till friday next week, when we get the car!
Saturday a professional darkens the windows. I'll post pictures.
So, I'm sure I'll have some questions about the car the next weeks, because a little work must be done. (Speakers, dark lights, etc.) In one year I'll buy matt black rims. That's it, just decent black Jeep - no bling bling, no tuning, no chrome, etc. (as a father - no money for that kind of things
I hope this car has a character like my XJ had - although I know that todays cars aren't built to last forever ;-)
So, I'm opening a beer now and read through the forum. Interesting things to learn for me.
Cheers!
