My 2013 Sport was built on Friday September 7th. 2012.
No problems.
Who knows,
maybe it was built in the morning.

If given a choice I would rather have a Friday car than a Monday car
but thats just me

 

My Jeep was born on Tuesday, 9/22/2009. Purchased on Thursday, 6/3/2010 with 37 miles on odometer.

i looked in the door jamb and all i have in "nov 12" meaning november 2012 as the build date. There is no day listed.

any ideas where else to look? I can't seem to get more info from the vin decoders i have used.....

 

On the stickers, inside my doors, there is the letter F for Friday, after the month JAN. This is what a gentleman, who worked in car dealerships for many years, explained to me how I can tell what day my Jeep was built on. Hope this helps.

A vehicle certification label is attached to every Chrysler LLC vehicle. The label certifies that the vehicle conforms to all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Standards. The label also lists:

Month and year of vehicle manufacture.
Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). The gross front and rear axle weight ratings (GAWR's) are based on a minimum rim size and maximum cold tire inflation pressure.
Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
Type of vehicle.
Type of rear wheels.
Bar code.
Month, Day and Hour (MDH) of final assembly.
Paint and Trim codes.
Country of origin.
The label is located on the driver-side door shut-face.

 

Mine just says 12-10. So how the heck is it a 2011?

 

they do build 2011 models in prior year
so december build for a 2011 would make sense

JeepCares, would you please translate the MDH line on your attached example, which reads: MDH: 08113 980AA.

08 is the month I presume, but I cannot figure the codes that follow through to AA. Thanks.

Or 08 month, 1 day, 13 hr. ? No idea on the 980AA too.

 

That example that JeepCares shows is odd, because most MDH are of this format: MMDDHH , Month Day Hour , 120815 would be December 8, 3 pm (using a 24 hour clock).

His example only has 5 digits.

 

That is an odd example (it's from a service manual.) When you get a chance, take a look at your own label. It usually is MMDDHH.
I'm still trying to find out what the 980AA stands for. And/or what the purpose is. It doesn't seem to be required by law. If I ever get an answer, I'll let you know.

The number is a part number for the label format. It has no use for the customer.

 

Mine was born on Jan 31 2014 bought off a lot on Feb 18th

MDH 013120 Holy Hell!! not only made on a Friday, but at 8pm after the bars were open!!! you know they wanted to get out of there :friday:

According to the label on my wife's Patriot, hers was built on Sunday morning, 0200hrs., 28 April 2013!

 

Final assembly on mine was Wednesday January 29, 2014 at 6 pm. HUMP DAYYY!! Yeeaahh. Sorry, had to. Purchased February 13, 2014. 2 weeks old with 6 miles on it. It was a "happy valentines day to me" present! Wife wasn't as excited as I was though.

 

Great! It looks like my patriot was built on a Friday at 11 in the morning.

 

I remember seeing Nov. '09 on the label on mine, never noticed day of the month when assembled. However, I do remember picking it up on the 23rd or 24th of December 2009.

 

Mine was built late Monday night, 17 March 2014. I should have worries.
