2008 jeep patriot 2.4 limited.
Good afternoon guys I'm running into a big issue and only thing I have left to replace is the computer on the car , I was wondering if anyone has had the same issue and how did you resolved.
So I had a misfire on cylinder 1 and 4. Only happens during acceleration check engine flashing. Replaced spark plugs and coil issue continue to be there , went and replaced the injectors issue still there. So I hook up my snap on scanner and it shows cylinder 1 was misfiring about 100 times while 2 and 3 where fine and 4 was about 80 misfire so I check signal on injectors and coils and signal is perfect,so I did a compression test cylinders 1 and 4 were on the 40 psi so I was like there it goes my engine is done. So i went and got an engine from the yard. Swapped the engine started the car and boom cylinder 1 and 4 still misfiring so was like well I'm out of options.all I got is the computer.
I got the people nat the junkyard looking for a numbers matching computer. Hopefully they find one.
Has anyone had the same issue ? And if you had do you mind sharing the solution with me please.

There was someone else a while back with a p0300 - cylinders 1 and 4, and it was apparently due to cached codes / info in the PCM memory (link below).

They had someone clear the cached codes with a scan tool and it worked.

If you don't have that kind of a scanner, try disconnecting the battery cables, touch them together for 10 min or so (use a zip tie or wire to hold them together if you need to) then reconnect and try to start.

I am having the same issues with my 08 patriot .I have injector pulse spark and good compression on cylinder one and four. I have done everthing but computer.I bought it not running it had some mouse damage on injector harness .i think the injector wires may have shorted out on fuel rail.keep me posted if u get it fixed
