will be getting RRO lift soon. Looking for the perfect tire for my stock 17" rims

*need recommendation on tire and size for the RRO lift

-aggressive tread for off road
-good in the snow
-not to loud

If you are getting a lift, I'd go with 225/70-17, or 235/65-17. If you want a full size spare tire to fit, 225/65-17 will fit with the insulation removed

Hankook Dynapro ATM....best choice/perfect setup...

Check out Duece's setup in NY. He doesn't have the RRO lift yet tho.

Read a bunch of good things about these tires, so I got the same Hankooks after my RRO lift...but I went bigger to 245/65-17's....need 1.5" wheelspacers to fit with stock rims tho.

Will get pictures, when I can...

I too want to get the Rocky Road lift, but will need new tires first. From what I hear, even with a lifted vehicle, I'll need rims with more backspace so that the tires won't rub on the wheel well when I turn. So to that end....does BFGoodrich or Goodyear have a better tire available that has good wear on-road, but that I can still take off-road to play and get traction, that will of course fit under a Patriot? And, what rims would work well for this purpose while looking really good on an orange FD1 Patriot that will hopefully by the end of the year have a #02 on the doors and a Dixie flag on the roof?

Cooper Discoverer AT3. I like the same sizes mrjeepr recommended. Are you getting anything else done while your there?

thanks, aic, I'll keep that in mind. However, I'm more familiar with the reputations of Goodyear and BFG, and would prefer something by one of them if I can find the right tire.

wow, thanks. The video is impressive, and I think Falken is a great tire due to that test, but I'd just sooner have Goodyears on mine. The BFG's looked cool, but I think I'll try and find some rims that will fit the second and third Goodyear options(only the first one fits Jeep Patriot 17" rims from 2010). Thanks for the links.

the silentarmor and armortrac are the ones I'd prefer, but they won't fit on 17" 2010 Patriot rims. That's ok though, I'm thinking I'll look into new rims anyway and maybe keep the stock rims handy for more highway-oriented tires.

^ in 17" tires you can't go wrong with those...they're the cheapest/best for their price that Discount Tire Direct has! I'm gonna be needed 16" tires when I get my lift cause I have the TJ Rubicon wheels. My top two choices are those Cooper Discoverer AT3s and the Hankook Dynapro ATMs ... The Hankooks are the cheapest in the 225/75/R16s I'm shopping for but I would not be upset if I had to go with the Cooper's  I'd love the BFGoodrich KM2s but I don't want to spend that much on tires! That's crazy! I also love the Goodyear Duratracs but they're just as pricey sadly :/

Just me personally, I don't like the look of those tires. The side walls are too square for me. I know, I know...I'm weird for wanting tires to look a certain way but hey, it's my Jeep lol

Try Discount Tire Direct...they have a ton of tires that my local stores don't have.

For the weight, the BFG is almost 42 lbs, the stock Goodyears are 28 lbs, so use that for what its worth. Maybe it is too heavy, maybe it isn't. The Yoko's I got are 31 lbs each

235/65/17 is the best with RRO lift just get 1.25" spacers!
