Liberty KK headlamp conversion?

So, I've never really liked the round headlights... just not my jazz. I was looking at a couple Liberty KK's at the dealership and noticed how similar our bumpers are. Now I'm thinking of undergoing a headlamp conversion. Haven't done TOO much research into it. Don't even know if I can squeeze the larger housing in the Pat, regardless of how much cutting/trimming I do. But here's a couple pics to show the similarities

Liberty KK headlamp

As you can see, it appears the angles are the same. It actually looks like the Liberty has a extended version of my bumper. The Liberty's hood is contoured to the headlamp, so if I am able to fit it, I will make the border around the housing much tighter. I think if it will fit, it will just BARELY fit, but it wont have a big gap, like on the Liberty. This would also be cool if you like quad head-lights, or you can do a turn signal delete like Creation but make the bottom 'brights' into amber turns...

I don't think this will look good, or even flow well with second gen Pats seeing as the have more rounded over bumpers, plus they have much smaller grills... But... maybe, idk.
Online I can grab 1 housing for around $150, so I will pray there's a t-boned KK sitting at a JY somewhere close lol.

Great idea, only problem I see is the pats bumper is kinda rounded a bit (not sure on older models, and I was pretty sure the Kk was flat on the front, so if it did work it may look funny, just do some angry eyes! It'll become a north west trend then

My pat has a much flatter, sharper design than yours. Thats why I dont think it'll work on '11s and up

do it up! And yeah I wasn't thinking of that, it's be cool deff if you do that would look sweet (the KK headlights)

I would get a junk grill and a junk light, that way you can work on it without messing up your current grill, and then install the new system once it is mocked up.

Yea, problem is, my jy doesnt have any pats or libertys. Spokanes Pull n Save might, but they dont tell you which vehicles are in stock, so I can't waste a 4 hour round trip for nothing you know... right now I just need to get measurments. One of my dealerships has a liberty kk so I might go check out how the housing is mounted vs ours to get an idea of how much cutting will be needed

Then pick up some parts on ebay or whatever. I'm must saying, don't use your grill as the tester, pick up some sort of spare.

It would be interesting to see if this works, one of the older members had thought about using commander headlights. He had a picture of it laid in place and It looked like a perfect fit besides the fact that you'd have to figure out how to attach the bumper. I'll see if I can dig the thread up.

I've got a junk set of Liberty KK headlights if you want to use them. If you bought he headlight covers like in your example they wouldn't be junk.

I had a set of those covers and when I removed it I couldn't get the glue off. So I bought the renegades lights instead.

They are yours if u wanted to just pay shipping.

@AIC- oh yea, I totally understand what you're saying. just wish my model didn't have the bumper and grill as one piece :/

@Romeo- dude, I was just thinking about asking if you could look around when I figure out what I'll need. My sister lives in CdA so I could prob bribe her to bring some stuff down if there's anything there

@Creation- Tnx for the link man, that looks bad ass! Just wish he had finished it. Gunna be fun trying to figure out how to mount them ( and still be able to adjust them too) lol
